Dear Gaynor

I wanted to write and thank you for the Welsh welcome we received last week.

The hotel was very good in Cowbridge and we found some lovely places to eat very close by.

Wenvoe was a lovely course and the professional made us very welcome on arrival and really seemed to care that we had a good time and good golf.

We absolutely loved Cardiff, having not been for many years and then only for a flying visit.  We stayed at The Bear 4 nights in the end and met the owner on departure so I was able to thank him personally.

At Cottrell Park we were blessed with wonderful weather.  Again we liked the course. We were very grateful for the buggy on both courses as they were much hillier than I had envisaged.  We didn’t get held up at either course and in fact at Wenvoe, the professional offered us an earlier tee time before the rush, as we had arrived in good time.

So thank you very much for picking us and also for allowing us to delay our trip after Sophie’s operation last August.

We are moving house next week so it just what I needed before the storm.

Best wishes

Lynn Davis

Thank you Gaynor, we had a lovely time in South Wales, the welcome we had from everyone was great, the hotel and the golf courses made us feel very special.

We liked the Copthorne hotel and we had a very nice room, Cottrell Park was really great and we picked a very nice day,  the clubhouse food was lovely, nothing was too much trouble even though they were busy in the restaurant as it was Sunday.  We both loved the Macintosh course and would love to go back there, Southerndown is brilliant of course,  again we were given a great welcome, it was rather windy when we played on Monday but views and the condition of the course were exceptional.
We only managed to play 9 holes at the Vale as it was particularly cold and there were rather a lot of people playing in front of us,  it was the only time we had been held up, we had played a lot of golf so it did not spoil the whole experience.

Thank you so much for all your arrangements and I feel privileged to have won such a super break.
