It was a real pleasure to see you last week and yes we all had a great time.
The golf courses were both in excellent condition and as you say the weather was glorious.
The Bear Hotel again looked after us well and had actually been revamped/upgraded and decorated which is always nice to see.
I should also say that Wenvoe Castle made us very welcome and their course was also in great condition.
Sent to Cottrell Park Golf Resort and booked through Vale Golf Breaks –
I just wanted to e-mail you and thank you for the wonderful weekend you provided me and my friends with this weekend.
All staff from the bar staff to yourselves at reception were happy and helpful and made us feel very welcome and you went above and beyond.
We have already talked about it and would definitely be returning, if not later in the year then next year.
You have a very beautiful resort with 2 lovely courses (even if we played them awfully).
Thank you again for everything.
They all had a fab time. They havn’t decided where to go next year yet, but as soon as they do I will be back in touch.
Hi Gaynor, Many thanks for all your efforts in organising our splendid tour & hope I did not present you with too many problems!!
Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves & were full of praise for the staff at both courses & also at the Bear Hotel for giving us such a warm welcome. We all thought the courses were in excellent condition, we especially liked Wenvoe Castle, compliments to all the greens staff for their dedication & expertise. The Bear Hotel proved to be a superb base as with the Cottrell Park courses being nearby it minimised the travelling & the food & facilities were very very good. We would highly recommend the package we enjoyed & especially your service.
Thanking you once again for making our tour such a memorable one. Harold.
I wanted to write and thank you for the Welsh welcome we received last week.
The hotel was very good in Cowbridge and we found some lovely places to eat very close by.
Wenvoe was a lovely course and the professional made us very welcome on arrival and really seemed to care that we had a good time and good golf.
We absolutely loved Cardiff, having not been for many years and then only for a flying visit. We stayed at The Bear 4 nights in the end and met the owner on departure so I was able to thank him personally.
At Cottrell Park we were blessed with wonderful weather. Again we liked the course. We were very grateful for the buggy on both courses as they were much hillier than I had envisaged. We didn’t get held up at either course and in fact at Wenvoe, the professional offered us an earlier tee time before the rush, as we had arrived in good time.
So thank you very much for picking us and also for allowing us to delay our trip after Sophie’s operation last August.
We are moving house next week so it just what I needed before the storm.
Thank you Gaynor, we had a lovely time in South Wales, the welcome we had from everyone was great, the hotel and the golf courses made us feel very special.
We liked the Copthorne hotel and we had a very nice room, Cottrell Park was really great and we picked a very nice day, the clubhouse food was lovely, nothing was too much trouble even though they were busy in the restaurant as it was Sunday. We both loved the Macintosh course and would love to go back there, Southerndown is brilliant of course, again we were given a great welcome, it was rather windy when we played on Monday but views and the condition of the course were exceptional.
We only managed to play 9 holes at the Vale as it was particularly cold and there were rather a lot of people playing in front of us, it was the only time we had been held up, we had played a lot of golf so it did not spoil the whole experience.
Thank you so much for all your arrangements and I feel privileged to have won such a super break.
